I create my action plans so they begin with undemanding tasks. This allows me to start any project with ease. Then I can quickly complete that task and move effortlessly onto the next, gaining momentum as I move forward.

3 Simple Beliefs To Hack Reality

hacking reality

We often think of a new belief as something that arises from knowledge or experience. The assumption is that we believe based on evidence. Apparently, reality forces us to come to certain conclusions. However, what if we were to flip this around and make up beliefs out of thin air and then make our reality prove that they are true? After all, if our lives are stories, it’s reasonable to assume that we have some poetic license to rewrite the story. Once we adopt this new, empowering belief, we also get a new superpower–we learn how to hack reality.  You can achieve anything by setting goals, taking action, and using positive self-talk.

I have the power to change what I believe

I recognize the impact my beliefs have on how I feel and behave. Believing something about a situation determines how events progress. What I think and feel about another person affects how I relate to that person. My beliefs in myself determine how I perform.

However, I can choose what I believe. If I want to see a situation differently, I have the power to do so.

My beliefs are particularly important when I am relating to others. If I believe a person has certain qualities, then I assume I know how they think and act. But when I change my mind about someone, I see the person differently, often for the better. I am free to determine what I believe about someone.

My beliefs about myself determine my level of confidence. Whether I am beginning a new project, attending a social event, or experiencing changes in a personal relationship, how my life progresses is largely determined by what I believe. And I am blessed with the power to change how I see things.

Knowing I can change what I believe brings success into my life. Inside myself, I make a decision about what I think is true. But if I observe factors that do not coincide with my beliefs, I change how I view other people and situations based on this new information.

My 3 New Empowering Beliefs

Today, I plan to embrace my power to change my beliefs. I can alter those beliefs that ultimately result in less than ideal situations, relationships, or behavior.

With that in mind, here are five empowering beliefs that I have decided to adopt:

Belief#1: When I take a wrong turn, I can find always find another route to success.

If I steer my vessel in the wrong direction, I can find a map and chart out a new course.  Stopping is not an option. I will find my way as long as I keep my eyes on the prize.

Success is a journey, not a destination. That is why I strive to make each step count. A positive attitude helps me move forward and, even when I am unsure of where I am, I am not lost. Instead, I choose to become a trailblazer. The generation coming behind me will have access to another route thanks to my resolve to stay the course and forge a new path.

When I come to a fork in the road I trust my intuition to guide me. Being spontaneous in this way helps me release my inner self and experience success in a new way.  Spontaneity gives me freedom.

Missing a turn causes me no panic because I know that I have countless options; I am not limited to only one way. A wrong turn may lead me to find a new way. The opportunity to explore the unknown excites me.

Although it feels daring to get off the fast-paced highway of life and take the scenic route, detours can be worthwhile because they lead me to discover the beautiful things in life that I otherwise may have missed. The road less traveled is filled with the most stunning sights.

Flexibility allows me to prosper despite failure. Being flexible gives me the strength to keep going when I would rather stop.

Belief#2: My life is fascinating.

Because I recognize that life is fleeting, I focus on making each minute count. I work hard to create the most fascinating, fun, and educational life I can make for myself. I look for ways to be enthralled with my daily activities. I am captivated by my life.

Living an entrancing life means I am never bored. Even when I rest, I engage in activities that bring me joy. Simple pleasures such as reading the news or watching an old episode of a beloved comedy show brings quiet satisfaction.

Listening to music captures and holds my attention. I am interested in the stories behind the songs. Everything I do enriches my life. Each of my activities delights me.

When I get to spend time with my family members or friends, I am entranced by the whole experience.

Being surrounded by people I love, who also love me, is fulfilling and brings feelings of deep satisfaction. In these situations, I am once again captivated by my own life.

A continuing goal for me is to experience contentment, delight and sheer pleasure each day. I embrace everything positive that comes my way as I release everything else. Doing this helps me to love my life.

Belief#3: I am always gaining momentum.

I create my action plans so they begin with undemanding tasks. This allows me to start any project with ease. Then I can quickly complete that task and move effortlessly onto the next, gaining momentum as I move forward.

The energy of my forward momentum helps push challenges aside. My active and focused mind is able to figure out a way to work with or overcome difficulties. Sometimes I may have to alter my plans, but I always maintain momentum.

It is similar to a game of pool. Once the cue hits the ball with enough energy to give it a strong push, it continues its momentum regardless of anything in its path. When it hits another ball or the wall, it simply changes its path and keeps going.

Like the ball, each and every day I have a chance to take my turn and do with it what I will! I choose to maintain my forward momentum with my eyes on my prize, even if I must change my plan from time to time.

Just as the ball comes to a stop at the end of its turn, I wind down at the end of the day and rest. The next morning I feel rejuvenated and I have the energy to take another exciting turn in this wonderful game of life!
